This week was A BLAST.
For those of you who haven't heard, the Church in Europe is doing a 21-day Book of Mormon challenge! The challenge is to read certain verses out of the Book of Mormon every day for 21 days. We're pumped about this challenge and have been doing everything we can to get people to participate!
We had some awesome rendez-vous with some of our new amis here in Antony. One of them was a first lesson with our new amie Arlette, who is one of the cutest people I've ever met. We told her about the Book of Mormon challenge, and she enthusiastically accepted. To paint a picture of how awesome Arlette is, she asked if she could hang out with us after the lesson. We told her that we were planning on going finding, and she ASKED IF SHE COULD COME WITH US. So we went finding in the cute little city of Issy-Les-Moulineaux with our amazing new amie Arlette, and it was just golden. She was totally acting like a missionary too, including running after people she wanted to contact with us. It was hilarious and awesome.
We also had a rendez-vous with a member referral this week. She was so excited to meet with us, and she'd already read the entire Restoration pamphlet that the member gave her. The lesson was going really well until about halfway through when she told us that she had been living with her wife for 8 years... We have another rendez-vous on Thursday :)
Another cool rendez-vous: We met an amie named Yawa in this beautiful park yesterday. After teaching her the Plan of Salvation, we committed her to a baptismal date (September 29)! We have been fasting and praying for 2 amis to enter the waters of baptism this transfer, and are so happy to see that goal being realized through hard work and faith!
After one particularly brutal day of rendez-vous and finding, Soeur Sorena and I had the divine revelation to see if there was a Chipotle in our sector. We knew it was a long shot--there are only 9 in Paris--but we still decided to give it a shot. AND LOW AND BEHOLD, there was one. We were jumping up and down in the middle of the sidewalk because we were so happy. I cannnot express how much I've missed Mexican food, and I may or may not have shed a tear or two when I put that first bite in my mouth.
Thanks for the emails this week! Love you all!
À bientôt,
Soeur Ethington

| My favorite book in my favorite place (the gardens of the temple). We study in the gardens first thing in the morning (which is why my hair is still wet in this picture)! |
