Soeur Ethington | Week 40

Hello everyone! This weekly update will be very short because today has been super crazy. We got a call from President Sorensen last night telling us that we now have an addition to our equipe here in Antony... Her name is Soeur Peterson and she's so awesome! We picked her up this morning at 7 am and then went immediately to the temple for our session. There's nothing like the peace you get from the temple, especially when everything else is crazy! She will be with us for the next 2 weeks until the transfer is over.

This week for Light the World, we focused on lighting our family. Since I'm pretty far from my family this Christmas, I decided to do some missionary work instead and take a family name to the temple. It was a beautiful experience to receive an endowment in place of my great-aunt from France! What did you all do to light your family this week?

I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone who sent me emails and cards for my birthday this week! You are all so wonderful and I am so lucky to have all of your love and support. Please let me know if there is anything I can be doing to help or support you during this Christmas season!

Merry Christmas!

We may look calm in this picture, but in reality we sounded like screaming goats as we tried to perform "What Child is This" during our ward Christmas party after having practiced it a total of 2 times. Good memories.

Us with Soeur Embulu after having decorated the church for the Christmas party (also, doing service is the best because we get to wear pants)

My name is all over Paris and it's WEIRD

We went to a Chinese restaurant today after the temple with S. Amott, my 2 companions, Elder Johnson, and Elder Pickard. They had flowers made out of carrots.

Elder Meunier with a sticky note over his plaque, making a joke of how many people he has to wait for before getting a turn in the VC bathroom (inside joke)

Some super awesome vigilante spray painted "Jésus sauve" all over Paris. It means Jesus saves, and it's so true.

There's a homeless man who always begs for food at our freeway exit to get to church. Since missionaries aren't allowed to give money, we give him all our leftover food (and the good word of God, bien sûr)
